
Montserrat Videla (b. Mexico City) immigrated with her Colombian family to Canada in 2005. As an actor and creator, she works across a wide variety of performance forms, including text-based theatre, dance, performance art, devised creation, as well as film & tv. Her collaborations have taken place in both English and Spanish, as well as nationally and internationally. She is a theatre performance graduate of SFU's School for the Contemporary Arts.
She has grown up and lived on several different territories across the Americas, including the the traditional territories of the Muisca, Azteca, Wichita, Comanche, Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), Tsuut’ina, Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, Musquem, Squamish, and TsleiWatuth.
